I hate when people say pretty people and ugly people because to me you might think a person looks pretty on the outside but if they have a messed up attitude im going to look at them as a ugly person but if they are pretty and have a nice attitude then they are a beautiful person.Do you get my point people.Because some of you say some ignorant things and im not talking about everybody,all the people that say it know who im talking about.You judge off of attitude not looks but im not just talking about attractive people it go both way with a person you think is attractive or unattractive having a bad attitude.Think of it this way you could be looking at a person looks and end of with a person that your not happy with because you were just looking at how good they look.Looks are not everything I can tell you that.

i agree with you it doesn't matter whether your beautiful or not on the outside what matters to me is the inside :) and i believe that is how it should be, none of this labeling people "beautiful"and "ugly".

Pretty usually means attractive, pleasing to the eye, and prompting a desire to possess the thing in question. Ugly is just the opposite. Pretty and ugly are subjective, for they are controlled by personal feeling [emotions]. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What is beautiful to me, may be ugly to you, and vice versa.

I think there are two levels yes, the inside and the outside...but if I don't know a person yet and someone asks me what I think about there appearence alone, than I might give them my opinion based on there exterior...and there is nothing wrong with that as long as you are not making fun of someone.

pretty people are appealing to the eye, ugly people are displeasing to the eye(there are lots of reasons for this.. evolution, psychology), everyone has their own opinions on this, but in general most people agree on which people are pretty and which are ugly, on the outside anyway, looks are not everything but they are part of the equation, i would not go out with a guy just because on the inside he was a girl.. i would be his friend maybe, but looks play a role.. looks are not everything.. but they are something

By ' societies " standards . . .
.
Pretty . . . Someone physically pleasing to look at.
Ugly . . . A person that is found, physically, to be not so pleasing to look at.
My own thoughts . . .
While I will admit I have my own ' standards ' of what I find pleasing or less pleasing to my eye . . .I also very much see a persons inner self beaming through their eyes, smile, their conversation, their overall reflecting of themselves. . . I find that pretty (or handsome).
A person who may be found by societies standards to be pretty or handsome yet is of ' sour ' heart. . . I find a person as that to be very much less attractive (ugly).
I've met many ' attractive ' people (was married to one, dated some, worked with some) ... attractive by ' societies ' standards. Yet, their ' sour ' way of reflecting to others made them very much so to be un-attractive (ugly) in my eyes. Same, that some found to be un-attractive by society yet just BEAMED of a bright heart I found to be pleasing to look at and attractive.

They are antonyms in words and in fact....rationally, it has a broader sense of meaning. A physically less beautiful may become very pretty becuase of his/her inner personality, and a well beautiful person may become ugnly because of his/ her rudeness behavior...
Thats my opinion.

are you seeking a answer or writing a billboard. we understand your great feeling. but remember its your heart which decides what is ugly and what is pretty.
What we should is think by head not heart, because heart is meant to pump blood and not think. when you think by the head you are logical.
