My nephew has just passed away after being hit by a car, his life support was switched off. Does anyone know of a good tribute poem for his funeral.

We knew little that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you Dearly, in death
we do the same. It broke our hearts
to lose you,you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you, the
day God called you home. You left
us peaceful memories. Your love is
still our guide, and though we cannot
see you, you are always at you side.
Our Family Chain is broken, and
nothing seems the same, but as God
calls us one by one, the Chain will
link again.

Well, you probably know a lot more about your nephew than anyone else. Think about the good times you shared together, think about the hurdles you overcame and maybe add in a few other things. That would make a good tribute, it doesn't have to be a poem.

I'm sorry to hear about your nephew, my heart goes out to you and your family. I don't know of a good poem, but I think that you should probably write something from your heart. That makes it more personal. Good luck and God Bless.

As much as you may want to go with a generic poem now; you might want to sit with some of your other family members that try to write one yourself. This will say exactly what you feel and speak beyond what any other poem could say.

Miss Me but Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room.

Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little- but not too long.
And not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared.

Miss me- but let me go..

For this is a journey that we all must take and each must go alone.
It's all part of the master's plan .
A step on the road to home.

Miss me - but let me go..
