Beat together an egg with a generous splash of milk or cream. Add sprinkling of sugar and some vanilla. Gently soak day old bread---wet both sides nicely. Fry in a little melted butter until golden toasted on both sides....It should be moist and steamy in the middle.

2 Slices of bread
2 Eggs (one for each slice, if you add more slices, add more eggs)
1/4 cup of milk
Cinnamon
Caster Suger
Basically
Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk until they are smooth and evenly blended in, then add the milk, simple, add a little cinnamon into the mix too and the dunk the bread into the bowl, evenly covering all the bread (until it's soaked basically).
Repeat again for the second slice.
Place both slices onto the griddle and gently cook them with a little olive oil (good for the heart) until both sides are nice and golden brown.
Then to prepare, drizzle a bit of maple syrup over the top and then lightly dust with caster sugar, add a bit of whipped cream, maybe some blueberries/strawberries/anything you like, and finally dust once again with a few pinches of cinnamon.
There you go, french toast in about 15 minutes!
Enjoy!

Take 2 tablespoons of sugar
stir in cinnamon with a fork - your choice light to medium dark brown (turn on frying pan to medium heat - spray pam or oil)
add 1 egg - and stir in(NOW) the sugar will cook the egg
add some milk - not too much 1/8 to 1/4 cup - stir
put in TEXAS toast bread - baste on both sides and put into pan
when it turns brown - flip it over - (cheat - put butter on it while
the second side is cooking!)
