Azureus is a very good bit torrent client.

You can install it from add/remove programs if you have the universe (nonfree) repository enabled. The version from the repository is 2.5.0.0 while the leading edge release is 2.5.0.4
the difference between the two versions should not make any great difference in performance by looking at the release notes. Release 2.5.0.0 dealt with most of the memory leak issues related to azureus.

whats incorrect with transmission? only play with the settings, its in all probability the appropriate linux torrent app there is, you are able to run utorrent utilising wine quite adequate, only google that as working wine demands a very diverse rationalization. you are able to time table downloads, create a folder that immediately downloads any .torrent report positioned into it, close down immediately while downloads are executed, throttle velocity, use port forwarding, upload trackers, use dht, use encryption, use block lists (no peer father or mom!) all with transmission, I advise fooling around with the settings greater. the main more suitable torrent shopper is unquestionably rtorrent yet its cli only (text fabric software), in case you theory transmission sucks i'm assuming that is incredibly not what you like.
