The literal spanish Ciudad de Los Angeles is city of the Angels. Being a native of there, I can't forget that. A person of the surname could have Italian ancestry. Both languages have the same root, Latin or Roman. Names can have more than one so called origin. The origin of a ancestor is different, as a person has one place of birth. The origin of a name does not prove the background of a person.
