i have been going out with this boy that loves me to pieces and has recently asked to get engaged. i feel its too soon but i love him and i do not know what to say

Is 8 months a long time?
If you're 15 perhaps!!!!!!!!!!
Anything older than that and 8 months is roundabout the "let's go on holiday together time. It's not even "let's move in together" time let alone marriage!!!!!!!!!
Also the fact you refer to him as "boy" not guy or man suggests you're too young to have a clue what you'd be getting into anyways.

If you are young then yes but if you are over 18 then why not. i know you must be thinking I'm wrong by saying age here but it can be true at times. I got engaged to my hubby after 8 weeks and we have two lovely boys 7 and 1. so things can work out you just need to be 100% happy with what you are going to get yourself into. its a big commitment in life.

If you love him and can see a future together whats the harm in saying yes some people have great marriges together after only knowing each other a short while but eight months is as good a time as any

you dont say how old you are but maybe you should wait a bit longer before you get engaged. if you love each other theres no rush is there? 7 months isnt really that long. getting engaged is a big commitment. good luck.hugs.xx

If you're only 14 then, yes, it's too soon.
If you have reached majority then why not?
Current research shows that decisions made on the spot tend to be the right ones. Too much thinking may do your head in.

8 months, some poeple get married in 2 weeks LOL
ive been my gf for 3 years, still not married so everyone is different have to do what is best for you both

It depends on how old you are! If you're 16, then no, don't do it. But if you're in your 20s, and he makes you happy, then go for it! Best of luck.

i think 8 mths is quite a short period of time...
get to know him more and find out if he is the one before making the choice, marriage is a lifetime commitment, think carefully...

if you get hitched he will be only person you sleep with for the rest of your life is that how you see your self with him if not i wouldn't theres plenty time for that just relax have fun first before setteling
