if you’re wondering if there are Biblical passages which condemn homosexuals and homosexual acts, the answer is NO.

Most people, even priests and scholars, are unaware that the passages about homosexuality have been either misinterpreted or misunderstood.

The story of Sodom and Gomorrah? That’s a warning against rape and inhospitality. The reason for Sodom’s destruction is made clear in Ezekiel 16:48-50. According to Ezekiel, the sins of Sodom were pride, laziness, being inhospitable, neglecting the needs of the poor, greed, and idolatry (the worshipping of idols). Nothing about homosexuality is mentioned.

Leviticus? Those passages were part of the Holiness Code which has been done away with and is no longer binding to modern-day Christians.

1 Corinthians? Mistranslation - the word malakee in this passage is used elsewhere in the Bible to mean someone who lacks discipline or one who is morally weak, and never is it used in reference to sexuality or gender.

1 Timothy? Also a mistranslation. 1 Timothy was an admonishment against male prostitution, not committed, loving same sex relationships.

Romans? In the passage the Greek words physin and paraphysin have been translated to mean natural and unnatural respectively. Contrary to popular belief, the word paraphysin does not mean “to go against the laws of nature”, but rather implies action which is uncharacteristic for that particular person. An example of the word paraphysin is used in Romans 11:24, where God acts in an uncharacteristic (paraphysin) way to accept the Gentiles. When the scripture is understood correctly, it seems to imply that it would be unnatural for a homosexual to live as a heterosexual and vice versa.

i don't comprehend. Many christians say that a guy or a woman isn't a gay until eventually she or he participates in gay habit. That in basic terms isn't real. you may properly be married with somebody of a distinctive gender and not take area in gay habit. yet, it incredibly is who you're interior that determines what your sexuality is. It has in basic terms approximately no longer something to do with your movements. Homosexuality and gay at the instant are not the comparable element. Christians could seperate does 2 words. it is the comparable element as asserting that a monkey who does not behave like a monkey, yet like a human isn't a monkey. additionally, a human who behaves like a monkey isn't a monkey, likewise. whether it incredibly is a sin, or no longer, i've got confidence this is desperate on how she or he makes use of his or her homosexuality. a individual who rapes human beings of the comparable intercourse, is unquestionably sinning. yet a individual who does not harm everybody and lives a quiet, non violent existence along with his better half (inspite of gender) isn't sinning. whether something is organic or no longer, shouldn't make certain whether it incredibly is a sin. utilising prescribed drugs isn't organic. could that be considered a sin?

"The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned". 1 Corinthians 2:14

You do not have the Spirit of God my friend, therefore the Bible is foolishness to you.

It is VERY clear that homosexuality is a sin in the Bible.

Homosexuality is an abomination to God - pure and simple. Your facts are wrong my friend. Be careful not to mislead people by the foolish words you write.

I'd say no.

However, most of these verses were directed specifically at Jews, and Jews don't apply their laws to us Gentiles. It's understood by both Jews and Gentiles that we have no responsibility to God to keep them.

According to Jewish tradition, Gentiles are bound only by God's laws given to Noah (and to all mankind through him), found in Genesis 9.

Are you quoting from the BROKEBACK BIBLE? You do what you want. It is obvious that nothing anyone will say will convince you otherwise. Just know it is YOU that will stand in front of God someday.

No, it is not OK to be homosexual from the Bible point of view. God's word is as it says. We are not to question it or try and change it.
