Most religions today are based upon the same God. Why can't all you folks just agree on the most important parts (do't kill each other, be nice). Just because the way the Mormons live or the Isrealites live really should mean nothing in the eyes of the Lord. Why is it sooooo important to folks how and when someone else worships God? Your ideals may be different but it's the same God, what difference does it honestly make?

Hiya, Humble Simple Man. I'm not dumb, I just don't understand why we can't all just meet in the middle.

I'm Not That Smart...exactly. Regardless of who said what, why can't you all agree on the good parts, that's what realy counts in the end.

Because some (TWW) are to arrogant and closed minded to realize that most religions are the same (believing in a higher being). It's all about them, not about others. If they actually took the time to talk and listen, I mean really listen, to someone from a different religion, they would realize that the basis of the religion is the same. I guess everyone is perfect so they can judge how someone else worships or believes.

I agree with you, but some people just like to be particular about these things I guess. I personally just dont get the whole religious thing. I think some religions make people like that too, for example there is no way a muslim or a catholic could agree because both religions discount other gods. Whereas Buddism acknoledges the presence of other gods. So it very complicated and unfortunatley all sides will never agree. It might also be a power thing, were right and their wrong attitude.

The religion of God has two aspects in this world. The spiritual (the real) and the formal (the outward). The formal side changes, as man changes from age to age. The spiritual side which is the Truth, never changes. The Prophets and Manifestations of God bring always the same teaching; at first men cling to the Truth but after a time they disfigure it. The Truth is distorted by man-made outward forms and material laws. The veil of substance and worldliness is drawn across the reality of Truth.
As Moses and Jesus brought their Message to the people, so Bahá'u'lláh brings the same Message.

Allah is the only God to worship. Any other "God" is false.
Christian God is of course, the ONLY God. Allah is false, as are any other "Gods".
How dumb can you be not to see that Allah is the only God (Or the Christian God?).
Each one knows that their God is omnipotent, even a child should KNOW their God is the one if you got any brains at all. It's so simple! How can you not know unless you just don't want to see the truth?
Of course, this is the basis of war...
Neither, being able to prove their God is the only real one to serve, but believing the "infidels" should be "righteously" killed.
It won't go away, because, you can't see either "God", or prove either one of them. Therefore, both think they have the only real solution, while they slaughter people in the name of love & God, purging the earth of sin, even while they admit no-one can be perfect.
Since no-one can be perfect, I take it that no-one is better than another. Why can't we just all get along?

My dear friend, what you dont understand is that its NOT the same God. The ONLY way to God is through Jesus Christ.
ALL the other religions are false and originate from the deception of Satan who aims to blind people to the truth.
Its important for me as a born again Christian, to try to help people see the truth, so that they can be set free. The greatest gift I received when I gave my heart to Jesus, was that suddenly, I could SEE. Before you get to that point, you do not understand God or His ways.
Its a life and death situation - we do not fight the unbeliever, but rather desperately try to make them SEE the truth, so that they can be set free.
We as Christians care so deeply about others, because Jesus cares about others and His spirit is in us.

Amen, brother.
All religions agree on fundamental religious dogma - they only differ on points of personal speculation about that dogma. There is no reason whatsoever that we could not erect a common abstract religious symbolism that each individual worshiper fills with his or her own content. Of course, the Freemasons already did that...

I don't think that you have studied religion very deeply|
If you had, you would know that there are absolutely vast differences between them - that there are irreconcilable contradictions between them|
For example, one says that Absolute Being is our goal (Christianity)| Another says that *non-being* is our goal (Buddhism)|
How much more vastly different can you get between two systems (despite their superficial similarities in ethics)?
