Thats the question, they see someone they like or want to speak to someone but they seem to let the chance go by.

I made the first move with my boyfriend. If you like someone then why not go for it, in the days of equality and all that, why should you sit around and wait, you might just let the moment pass you by and never get a second chance!

That's such a sweeping statement. I, for one, never let the "chance go by" if I see someone I find attractive. Infact, the vast majority of men I have been out with I have been the one to approach them.

Maybe women just dont fancy you and your mates so that's why they dont come over to you. Or maybe cos you are quite old people assume that you are married/attached.

Because guys don't respond well to a first move by a woman. OK, they'll have sex with her, but most guys prefer to make the moves when it comes to someone they want to get serious about.

I think that's a real pity.

I thought it would all change over the years, but my daughters tell me it's all much the same as when I was a teenager in the 70s.

If I liked someone, I would always talk to them, but I have an outgoing personality and I do believe in never missing an opportunity.

I have made the first move many times, its either worked or not.

not all women are like that!
i see something/someone i want i go and get it - i don't want to ever have regretted something i didn't do!

plus what you got to lose? ask him out and the worst thing that can happen is his says NO! get over it and move!

the world would be so much better if everyone did the same!

Not all women are like that. It is just that most women have been conditioned not to be agressive. They have been trained to sit and wait, and expect men to come to them, and expect men to know what they think even when they never open their mouths and tell them. I am a woman, and an advocate of telling men straight up how you feel about them and what your expectations are. That includes the bedroom.

cos a lot of the male species are scared of women who do make the first move and youd probably run a mile if they did
