My boss gave me an official first warning because she thinks that I shouldn't have friends @ work. I am the most cheerful person @ work, I get along with every1, she says that saying "hello" to some1 should be enough, no extra chit chat. She also said that i should not be friendly with the cleaning ladies because it's unprofessional. I want to quit today!

The sad thing is that I can't report her to any1 coz she is co-owner of the business, co-owned by her husband, her daughter is in HR, her son is the manager. So the only thing I can do is leave.

I think you should find another job....perhaps at McDonalds, where you can talk to everyone you want, and will be pretty sure that no one will be jealous of you. You obviously have an attitude problem toward your boss, and hey dummy, she owns the company.
You are there to work, not chit chat up with everyone. Go ahead and complain to the others. That should be worth a laugh.

You boss is more than a cow, she is one miserable heifer, I would pursue different options of employment. What a miserable human being she must be. What the heck do not chit chat, and do not talk to the cleaning lady. She must have been raised very poor, and married a man with money. Now she has this belief that her money has made her better somehow. What a miserable heifer. I would find another job and leave that place as soon as humanly possible. Good luck and God bless****

It sounds like she is jealous. It's totally professional to be freindly with the cleaning lady, you look hard and rude when your not. My question is this, did she put this in writing? Exspeically the part about not having friends at work, and the cleaning lady? If she did, go to your EOE rep and complain! In order to have good relations with co workers and be productive you need to feel good at work, she sounds like a work place bully and HR in your company should be able to help you with this, there are laws to protect you.

Anonymously annoy her to no end! Create a new e-mail account with her name on yahoo or something and send it to her work e-mail address all day with random messages. You could include how snotty she is, send articles that communication in the workplace is good, that may straighten her out a bit!
If not, it will drive her crazy having e-mails coming in to her from herself!

I do not pass judgement on people but listen I do believe your boss has a serious communication problem.... she hides unsecurity inside and acts so professionaly in defense....
... If your job is very good go to her superiors and let them talk to her... if this does not work and there are no superiors just find another place where you are appreciated....
... what you have is a gift, keep it and do not allow any one to take it away fom you!

i think of i could have been disenchanted in case you sent your ex something, why are you nonetheless on your ex's existence. And to speak to a captivating woman in a save, what's that each and one and all approximately? You disrespected your spouse and your marriage. it is not approximately jealous it is approximately your beside the point habit. That become cruel of you to do on your spouse.

She have issue. If you can, find a better job. Specially since it's one of those "family" type company, chances are you are going nowhere in this company since you're not family. They will never trust you the way they trust another family member and you deserve better.

And you were warned to be what .. stoic?
I would ask for that warning in writing right now. That isn't even a cause for a firing. I would so be calling HR on her.
What kind of job are you in??
