Believe me no one is more against this war then me but being a soldier near Mosul, Iraq and a combat MOS I can tell you that we are doing good things here.......Northern Iraq and Kurdistan here have a great chance at improving there life.....its Baghdad and below that is messed up.....I say let them have there civil war down there and move the troops North and help the part of the country that is trying to better itself. I still laugh when Bush had the road map to peace idea......there has been fighting in the Middle East since the dawn of time and it will never stop till everyone is dead

If you support the troops, join the Army. Put your money where your mouth is.

Otherwise it's a bunch of lip service.

People slap a magnet on their SUV and call themselves patriots.

How about driving less? How about turning up the thermostat? How about DOING something real, as opposed to talk, talk, talk all the time.

I mean yeah, I fight for your right to speak and live freely, but let it be more than just words you give me in return. I didn't fight for your right to buy cheap gas. And I don't need you to bring me home. I'll be home when the job is done.

Oh...my....gawd. The ignorance of some people. I will first say "well spoken" to the soldier who pointed out that there are good things going on in Iraq. Just because the liberal media chooses not to report those things doesnt mean it isnt happening. My husband has been there once and about to deploy again (his fourth overseas tour in 5 years I might add). He wants to go do his job, and I am proud of him!

And to the IDIOT that thinks there are 2 types of soldier, the evil and the young....you are a nut job. Do you know HOW MANY jobs there are in the military? Not every MOS in the military is a COMBAT MOS. My husband is an 88M, a vehicle operator. Usually he drives a truck from FOB to FOB, but he also drives a forklift and helps put up barriers. He isnt there to SHOOT, but I promise he has gotten shot AT, as evidence of his CAB. There are cooks, fuelers, TRUCK DRIVERS (HOOAH), medics, tankers, career counselors, chaplains, and the list goes on and on. For everything the military needs, there is an MOS to fit. A job for everyone. So to try to fit all MOSs into 2 types is ignorance on your part.

it truly is actual as a lot because the authorities of australia to make that decision. even although you're allied human beings might want to know you're decision. besides the undeniable fact that many human beings are blind and dont seem on the data that began this conflict contained in the first position. Muslim extreminism has killed MANY foreigners before the Iraq conflict. Iran revolution, Lebanon, Sudan, united statesCole, Kuwait invasion. the first gulf conflict replaced into an finished failure because we did not instill defeat contained in the Iraq human beings. They concept they received the conflict. We fail in this conflict because we by no potential instilled defeat. each now and then doing that contains difficult options like back in 1945 and Hiroshima. the point of as a remember of actuality is that religious enthusiasts were killing our human beings lengthy before we've finished something.

YES YES YES bring our boys home. Let Bush and Blair bugger off out there to fight a useless war and send the US boys home too. If Bush sends troops into Iran he ........can't say it on here cos I'll get a violation notice but..................

Gabriel read up and wise up about 911 of course it was an absolute tragedy but it could and should have been avoided. Don't let others die because of US incompetence in the first place and then arrogant revenge....shutting gates after horses have bolted? Mean anything?

We can't "make" our government do anything. We CAN vote in a party that has our same viewpoint. Pelosi is not to blame for poor equipment, the military within all its ranks wastes so much money on crap due to "Use it or lose it" Policy on funding. If the top officials in the military (from pres to private) and everyone within the chain of command would stop the bullshit and cut that stupid red tape, our troops would be sufficiently equipped. They waste more money than gathering it saving it and using it wisely. I think comapnies that have the equipment to make our troops safer should be forced to supply them. period. they will be reimbursed.

Thats all I have on this.

I agree bring them home. because with three sucessive attacks on american soil by al-quidea. we'll need them here.

1993 World trade center : 70 Killed
1995 Oklahoma City: Lots Killed
2001: World Trade Center(AGAIN); tons killed

Failed attempt : 1999 Blowing up los angeles Airport(LAX) .

scince we don't have the stones to go where the war really is in afghanistain i say let them come here.

*eyes rolling*

and jennifer b. I'm sorry to tell you this but over the course of these years I have come to belive that those who want the troops home actually DONT care about the people who died in all al-quieda attacks, though as of yet there too chicken to say so.

Maybe you should read the book Dude where is my country and watch the movie Fahrenheit 911 from Michael Moore, then you will know the truth behind the war, it is not because of terrorists but because of oil. Bush are feeding all Americans so many lies, and it´s sickening that only a remote few really opens their eyes and sees the truth....

An excellent answer mferunden.
For those who think this war is "useless" or "killing our troops", what about all those innocents that were murdered on 9/11 and in any attack before or after? What were their deaths for? Do you honestly believe we should just stand by and do nothing? When the next attack on your home soil happens (God forbid) and one of your family is killed, where will you stand then? Will you be in the line for free money, or in line for justice?

Remember the Falklands? Your people were attacked and you responded. US aviators were fired upon 18 times by Iraqi AAA.
Your equipment is not sub-standard and your soldiers are brave and very well-trained. WWII was a war you wanted? This has nothing to do with egos. Fight the terrorists in Iraq and you will not fight them at Heathrow.
