sometimes certain people just have to speak to me in no particular way to wind me right up!
people who say basically all the time are the really thick ones and say basically to patronise you
people who say at the end of the day all the time are not worth engaging conversation with as it alwasy sounds like they want to round it off
and as for those who say innit all the time well they are chavy little kids who havent been brought up to speak properly at all and should be seen and not heard

There is nothing worse than 'business babble'. If I hear another person say 'lets take a checkpoint', I am going to ram a checkpoint right up their back passage!! Why can't people just speak normal English anymore at work?

I think people who use the word "like" are the most annoying. "Its like, no way, like I'm sure he didnt do that." Also, I cant stand to listen to someone make a speech and use fillers such as, "uhh" and "umm" in their speech. For example, in the press, reporters who are trying to wing it, they say uhhh all the time and its hard to focus on what they are actually saying because I get so annoyed with their "uhhhsss". Anyway, thats what annoys me.

Basically, I hate people that use shortened words but they sound ridiculous when they say it, but at the end of the day, that's how they talk.

My pet peeve is that there are very few people who speak slowly enough to really comprehend what they themselves are saying. I like the occasional pause in a conversation.

People that say "huh?" instead of pardon, or excuse me?
Sounds to me like a pig grunting.
