In my humble opinion, I think the media has been getting better in terms of negative stereotypes, but theres still a long way to go.

Some may accuse me of over-sensitized "nit-picking", but I see that asian men are rarely casted and portrayed as someone of "importance", within context. Many times, as in some police dramas, they are killed off way too fast. Its a miracle if they have more than 15 words of dialogue.

Anyhow, I can go on and on, but rather than rant, let me just agree with you.

I don't. It's just the media and media isn't a very good reliable source to know about someone. They can feed you with perceptions but still, it's different when you actually meet them in person.
