dear sigmund had alot to learn! The Son did not stand in His Father's place nor did the Father take second place. The two are One and each had their own part to do in bringing salvation to mankind.

Sigmund Freud did NOT know God and he did NOT understand what being a born again Christian meant.
Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit are ONE. You can only come to God the Father through Jesus Christ the Son.

"Those dark times"? The Roman period was the most prosperous time in Israel's history, excepting perhaps that of King David and Solomon. The material record shows an expansion of industry and prosperity from about 30 BC to 70 AD and the development and building of a lot of nice cities. Herod the Great expanded and rebuilt the temple and temple mount to a size larger than Solomon's and at a great deal of expense. As a result, the temple holidays brought considerable commerce into the city and all the tourist dollars with it.
But judging from the response of Christianity to the NT and the avoidance of the OT, and judging from the preference for "praise Jesus" over "prasie God" we often see, Freud may be right.

Freud was only human and probably did not have a personal relationship with God (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).
I say that because anyone who actually has a relationship with Yahweh/God, knows that you can't have Our Heavenly Father WITHOUT the Son or the Son WITHOUT Our Heavenly Father.
Read Yahweh's Holy Word, it clearly says that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it."
"The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

Freud made that stuff up to save his career. When he reported high incest rates in Victorian times, he was about to be thrown out of his own society because they didn't want to believe it. He made up the Oedipal and Electra stuff to cover his a$$. It's all nonsense and poppycock.
Then to apply it to religion... wow!
