"For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord."

Even some of our churches today have false (godless) teachers who "have wormed their way in" and are twisting the Bible's teachings to justify their own opinions, life-style, or wrong behaviour. In doing this they may gain temporary freedom to do as they wish; but they will discover that in distorting Scripture they are playing with fire. God will judge them for excusing, tolerating, and promoting sin.

Some people who call themselves Christians really do not know God and they are just as the unbeliever is.

We must not take the word of any so called "Christian, because there are 2 types of Christians: those who have been brought up Christian or those who merely go to church on a Sunday but have not had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ and do not KNOW God. These give Christianity a bad name because they call themselves Christians but do not serve the Lord. Then there are those of us who are born again Christians and who the Lord slowly changes and delivers and begins to turn us into what He wants us to be - an image of Himself.

Born again Christians are NOT religious. Christians who do not know the Lord ARE religious. God detests religion because He wants us to have a personal relationship with Him.

To me it means that there Are people that can and will think for themselves.
What do you call a God who thinks of nothing but Himself?
I am not Godless, therefor I am condemned.

The theme of Jude is a warning against false teachers and doctrinal heresies. I think that would be a good example.

Jude's warning them against false teachers that don't care about Christ, don't really know him and is promoting practices that do not show fruit of being Christians.

um it means that there are people who pretend to be christian who mock the church and deny Jesus was flesh if you read the whole chapter. They came into the church to try to trick people into believing in Christ.

Don't you have anything better to do then read up on christianity considering you don't believe and try to use it against people. Dude find something constructive to do. You're like satan I'm sorry to say

It means that "bad associations spoil useful habits" in that people who you may think are good can influence you into bad habits, so be wary who you associate with.

... some of them slip in as Religious Figureheads who use the name of God and religion to kill, maim, harm, pillage and destroy others in the name of God... because God has given them the license to perform such heinous acts.

some of them slip in as Political Figureheads who claim the use of God's name and religion to kill, maim, harm, pillage and destroy others in the name of Divine sanctity... because God has given them the license to perform such heinous acts.
