How do I get rid of my fear of the dark?

just wanna to say when u feel fear in dark at this time u should think that you are not alone and God is with you and HE is seeing you and HE will care of you like a mother .i am sure after that you will get rid of this fear.........good luck

being scared of the dark is really not a big deal. most people are a bit uncomfortable because you feel you do not have control over what might happen because you cant see. just be pepared.have a source of light with you anytime you have the chance to be in the dark.than you feel you have control and eventually it may go away.carry a flashlight in your car,have a night light and falsh light by your bed in case of power outage.just be prepared,its a good idea anyways weither you have a phobia or not!

what's best is to try staying in the dark for a couple of minutes. if you still feel scared, hug something or close your eyes. if you arent used to it then maybe opening a lamp may help. try and try until you get rid of your fear.

Watch scary movies and hang up some Halloween stuff out in your dark basement at around 2:00 a.m. Keep all your windows and doors open in your house and make sure the scary movie is up very loud and no one is with you to comfort you while watching the movie. That should about do it.

stay by yourself in the dark and keep a flshlight and something to hold on. when u can't take it anymore, turn on ur flashlight. as the days go by, force urself to stay longer without the flashlight until u won't need it anymore. good luck, glad i could help.

Get a really powerful torch. That's a flashlight, if you're an American.
