strong believer of one religion always believes that all other religions are spreading hatreds against his religions. The Secular state is the best for peace. But while living in secular state, one needs tobe careful with the fundamentalists of any religion. These fundamentalist outfits become Facists in the long run forcing the geneal public to follow what they feel as correct. While democracy is the best principle for a free society, the democracy of the prolatriats should be firm in dealing with such fundamentalist Facist forces and dictate the democrcy principles on Facism.

Freedom and liberty of thought, speech and expression is a birth right of human beings. However none should ridicule holy and reputed personalities of other religions; yet may truly and honestly enlighten the real teachings to guidance & correction of public in their interest.

I guess religion shouldn't be the target of the laws. The people or persons that are directly involved in murder or any other crimes, whether they are doing so in the name of a god or not, should be held up to the current laws against such brutality.

None, actually.

In the US, we have "hate crimes", but they contradict the 14th amendment (the "equal protection" clause"). We can punish people who commit certain offenses against others who belong to certain protected classes.

You really shouldn't punish people until they cause physical harm. After all, you're allowed to post your opinions here. You may not be as hateful or vindictive, but you're still free.

Just think: if we started punishing people for offending others, someone could actually fake being offended and have you thrown in jail.

First of all, what do you mean by legal? If our government passes some resolution about this then it will become legal. Now a days government has a reason to do this as it is one of the causes of terrorism.
