Each individual should make it a goal to eat a healthy diet full of a variety of foods from each of the four food groups. As a teenager (and as an adult ) it is vital that you consume an adequate amount vitamins and nutrients through your diet that are necessary for proper growth such as iron and calcium.
It is never too early to develop healthy eating habits that you can carry with you for the rest of your adult life. However, it is also important to eat those things that you enjoy, like a Snickers bar, as long as it is eaten in moderation. Do not deprive yourself. Once you see how enjoyable and easy eating healthy is you will not think twice about doing it everyday.

My husband usually diets and one of the best things that works for him is to be fairly strict all week and then allow some cheats on the weekends.........nothing too overboard just a couple things to make what he does all week worth while. By doing this his is able to stick to the diet much, much longer.
I personally don't diet (as soon as you tell me I can't have something I obsess about it!!) so I just try to follow the everything in moderation.

Even on this forum, you see all the time questions like "I need to drop 10 pounds in 2 weeks, help!" In my opinion, the frame of mind of many people looking to lose weight is by far too short term for any level of success to be attained. If you want a new body, new look, then you have to live a new life! It's really that simple

Don't eat empty calories. Go vegetarian. Cut out pastas, bread, alcohol and deserts. Best way to go is vegetarian Asian cuisine. Brown rice, curried lentils with carrots, stir frys with olive oil and tofu, that sort of thing. Eat lots of raw veggies and fruits. It's also good to start an excercise program, you must be disciplined. 3 days a week, start on cardio for 30 (after the first 15, you'll be burning fat calories), then some resistance training like swimming, a martial arts class helps too. I did this for ten years and I had a body like Bruce Lee (maybe not as good, but almost).

Hey, you should try the APPLE PATCH diet. I know some people who swear by it. It's all-natural and not dangerous like some diet pills, and its good if your not trying to loose mega weight. If you wanna just take off between 10-40 lbs and dont want it to take forever, i have heard good things about this system. If you wanna check it out, this is their site:

follow a well-balanced diet. ask your doctor about your diet or follow the food pyramid. concentrate more on fruits and vegetables and dont eat too much junk food and avoid eating food with too much sugar. avoid drinking too much sugarry and too cold drinks that could surely add more weight and even add tonsilitis to yourself.

NO BULLSH*T.........But to me there's no cure. Only thing to do is to STOP EATING, OR SIMPLY EAT LESS. That should work. It worked for me when i had a few extra pounds. I used to eat like 7-8 times a day.......LOL. But now i barely get to 3. But you really have to be commited. Seriously.

make sure you eat cereal for breakfast
apple for break
jacket for lunch
another apple
a healthy tea
a balanced but healthy diet, make sure u do exercise aswell
