You have done the right thing with your mom. However she has to ultimately make the decision to leave your dad. Hopefully you got things going so she can change her life to a better one that I am sure she deserves. It'll take time but she will make it. My dad was terrible to my mother. She took knives to her throat all the time. She was scared but finally got rid of him and we all were better off. Good Luck to you and your mom.

Yup. you're right. Your dad is a coward not only does he hit a woman he hits her when shes asleep!!... Deffo a coward with a capital "C". A man should never hit a woman (full stop) He should honour and respect his wife. My partner and I both have a bad temper but despite how heated things get he would never lay a finger on me. Most people say violence isn't the answer but in my opinion, some people simply are unreasonable and are not rational. So I would keep yr mum and siblings away from him. Get your mum to get a doctor's report and lodge a police report and get a restraining order and if you get the chance beat the **** out of yr so called "Dad" DO IT!! if you can't handle him yrself get someone who can. Let him have a taste of his own medicine and let him pick on someone his own size. Some people just need to be taught. They need to meet their match. Problem is most battered wives tend to find excuses for their husband and tend to blame themselves and for some strange reason they keep going back to their husbands. I think you need to convince your mother that your Dad doesn't love her the way he should. Otherwise all your efforts in keeping them apart might g down the drain.

No my dad never hit mum or us for that matter. It's good that you
are trying to keep everyone safe .I would pay someone to hurt him like he hurt your mum men don't hurt women and children cowards do it gives then power over someone else hope your mum is felling safe and you as a family fix thing out between you.

You're doing the right thing. You have probably saved your mother's life. Make sure your mum stays at the hotel and doesn't leave. make sure your father can't find her. If you can't be there with her, try and get a well-trusted friend to be with her to ensure she doesn't get weak and call your father.
Yes, my father used to hit my mother. I didn't find out about it until after they divorced and I wish I could have known and done something about it.

Good for you for getting your mom out of that dangerous situation. Your dad needs some serious help. Try to get him into counseling and if he refuses call the police and press charges against him.

You should also lodge a complaint with tthe police so that your father knows that this behavior will not be tolerated.
