i always wanted to come first but i always come third! i dont know how do they do it? but i can't. well, it's good that this is the last year in which we will have percentage after this we will have only grades. i like it but for now plz advise me.

Hi, when I read your question I was thinking...what is most important in life...to be at the TOP of the list or SECOND....or THIRD....1, 2, or 3? Here is my suggestion:
Ask yourself why you are going to school ?
Then say.....I'm here to learn as much as I can and get GOOD GRADES..and know that in any group of people young or old ...there will always be the ones on TOP....in the MIDDLE...and at the END ...of all things.
The main thing at the end of the day is that you LEARNED SOMETHING in class. That whatever you learned will help you in what you do when you graduate from all your schooling.
The time you spend in class is just a SHORT TIME..in your life...and what happens around you ....like what order people finish is not that important. When you finish school you will walk out and into college and a job and you will sit and do your work...and the thoughts ...who finished first will go out the window.
In closing....OPEN your ears to the teacher.....and learn and study hard.
Go the extra step and read books about what you are studying or use the computer SEARCH...to find out something extra on your assignment/homework. This way it will have more meaning and stay in your memory.
Make learning a game..make it fun. Don't look at it as a heavy load...even though some subjects are hard to learn. You can still go about learning with a "HAPPY HEART"....enjoy your time in school one day you will look back at these days and say....I had a great time learning...and I will keep learning something each day as long as I live.

i'm 11 too i know it's tough but try your best. my former seatmate was top 1 in the whole grade level. she said her parents don't care if she fails as long as she studies. well you are lucky if you're parents are like that. only one answer to that.....KUMON. also you study in a comfortable place. well, not too comfy and let nothing distract you.ex. xbox 360 lying around,no one there to forbid you to play

well no matter what you are always first because you are trying your hardest and learning fast! if it wasnt for the competition you wouldnt be studyin as hard as you are now! so that is making you smarter. well and about how to be first... its all bout time and studying, good luck!

try to calm yourself more.and also don't be so nervous...you can do better than everyone...you can also read more story books...
