Will it cover my highlights?

They've grown out and are quite dull in my dark hair, i am dying it a shade lighter brown than my natural hair colour

i would suggest going to a proffessional. even if its just for advice but you need to consider your hair type and length. xoxo

i have a friend who had blonde highlights and got her hair dyed brown over them wen they had faded. the brown covered it well but you coud see lighter strands of brown were the blonde had previously been. you really should go to a hairdresser to get this done as should it go wrong it'l cost more to fix. hair dye is all chemicals and you just dont know how they will all react together.

If your are using a hair dye and not a colour mouse or shampoo , then yes, it will cover your highlights.

I agree with first poster. you should get this done professionally as dye on top of bleached high-lights can go various funny colours. you need to know what you are doing. A mate of mine did similar herself a few years back and ended up with bright orange highlights.
