Yes, that's a common trend. people never try to research this matter or look for relevent ideas, or take a look at the beliefs of the others.

No, the Bible says that we should prove it with facts. It is written to stand up to scrutany. A lot of people don't know the bible as well as they should though, so they believe it through faith. Muslims blind themselves to truth and overlook several problems with the quran, and atheists are blind to everything.

I choose my faith in Jesus Christ. He came here and died on the cross for our sins and was resurrected 3 days later. The Bible is the Word of God, of that I have NO doubt whatsoever.

In the eyes of God/Yahweh/Jehovah, anyone who decides for themselves who or what God is or stands for is committing Idolatry.
It does not matter, if you believe in Him or not; that will not and does not change who He is. Nor will it change the fact that one day you will die and since nobody from among your family or friends who has died, has returned to tell you otherwise; you will go before God to stand in judgment. He will judge all according to their actions, words, and thoughts. I know that this is harsh, but this is reality; God has a Kingdom that He will rule according to His Will.
Whether you want to believe or not, yes is heartbreaking to a Christian to hear from people, who would rather do what they want in the here and now. Not caring one bit about what happens later, to live according to the rules of the ‘god’ each one has designed/created/imagined in their own mind. Or fooling themselves into thinking that ‘god does not exist’, saying that ‘god is such a loving god, why send people to hell, or mistakenly saying that ‘those who believe in god are unintelligent’.
Those thoughts are exactly what I am talking about when I say ‘people are committing idolatry; by creating, inventing, designing, or imagining a god that fits their wants, needs and lifestyle.’
When we look at His Commandments, we all can clearly see that breaking His Commandments equal being set apart from Him and at judgment time will not allow you to come into an eternal reward. But it will grant you an eternal punishment. This is your choice to make. Nobody is able to pressure you into believing in God or deciding to yourself to hell. That again is your decision.
Finally, no body can be pressured into having a relationship with Yeshua/Jesus Christ or God/Jehovah/Yahweh. This must be something that you want to enjoy in your life and you understand that being a sinner means you take responsibility for everything you do. This also means that you do not ‘look out for number one all the time’, but rather you put others needs ahead of your own.
I am a Christian, NOT because my parents told me to be. That is not their right; a person can’t tell their kids to believe in Yahweh or Yeshua. All they can do is be a positive moral compass for their children. I believe in Yahweh, because I have accepted the fact that I am a sinner and in need of forgiveness of all my wrongs. I can’t and will not be able to gain eternal life on my own, I must put my faith and trust in Yahweh; knowing that He is in control and knows the outcome of all things.
“No one can add a single day to their life, worrying about things that aren’t in your control in the first place.”
