Fixated gaze
Someone across the room is staring straight at you, you meet their eyes and they hold your look slightly longer than is ‘normal’. . This one cuts both ways - men and women can both initiate or respond to that lingering look. You can tell someone you are interested in them with only your eyes and lips. Your eyes can send a lot of messages. If you find something pleasing to gaze upon (i.e., a beautiful woman/man), your eyes dialate (iris relaxes).

I can only answer from experience haha:

Guy: When a guy goes out of his way to say hi to you, do little favors for you (give you a ride, buy you coffee, pull out a chair etc). Also compliments as to what you are wearing or your hair. Or just staring at you and smiling for no real reason at all is all good. Also, if he is flustered or shy when talking to you (and normally he is an extoverted guy), that is also a good sign

Girls: When a girl is quiet around a guy, smiles a lot and touches her hair or wrist. Unconsciously sticks her chest out or rests her hands on her hips. Playfully punches the guys arm or chest, or touches him longer than necessary. Laughs a lot at what the guy is saying (especially when the joke is not funny lol), teases him, and looks at him out of the corner of her eyes.

If the guy did not ask you for your number, maybe he did not get the signal that you would say yes? Next time, you should try suggesting that he get your number. Example, "I gotta go, but I totally wish we could chat so more (pause here to let him jump him). If he still doesn't get the idea and you really like, then just ask him for his number.

Hope this helps!

when he asks for your number he wants to know you and maybe get together again sometime unless you knew him in the past and he has your number already...

if he just talked with you and you don't know him and he didn't ask for your number he just flirted with you but didn't get you when he tried...

When he flirts you get attracted to him... this would be when he says something "Hey baby" or "Whats up pretty lady!" or "Can i get you a drink".... (crappy aren't they)
