Two in the house both with same symptoms is indicative of the same cause but not exclusive to it. Here is a list of 3 highly probable causes:
1. Food Poisoning. As others have suggested. The fact that it's gone on for 2 days makes this very unlikely. The first thought vomitting and diaharrea bring to mind are this for most lay person. Most food poisoning cases aren't too bad and pass within 24 hours to 2 days.
2. Stomach Flu. There is a very virulent stomach flu going around this year. I've had it and many across the nation have had it. I experienced vomitting for a day and a slight fever with mine, of course your's could be different. I'd recommend the doctor for this.
3. Salmonella. Have you had any Peter Pan or Best Value Peanut Butter in your house? It was recently recalled and has made many very sick from Salmonella. It's also caused by raw chicken and many other raw meats present similiar symptons with different names for the disease. If it's one of these you'll be experiencing this for as long two months as it passes. With your grandmother being elderly it could be very serious. I highly recommend a visit to a doctor if not the ER if you this option seems highly plausible.
Depending on your symptoms in the morning you may elect to goto the doctor. If you can't bear the pain until the morning you need to call 911 tell them you have have extreme adominal pain accompanied by nausea and diaharrea or have someone else drive you to the closest ER. It's especially dangerous if you have the pain above your navel, are feeling un-alert or are near fainting.
If you elect to stay home, eat clear soups (chicken noodle, broth), dry toast, and drink plenty of fluids (drinks like gatorade can help to restore lost electrolytes from vomitting and diaharrea). Do not drink things like alcohol, milk, tea, coffee, apple juice, or sodas as these do very little to alleviate the problem and in many cases will dehydrate you further. Stick to Orange Juice, Water, Gatorade, Pedalyte.
As in all medical cases it's better safe than sorry. Don't take our advise, go with your gut feeling.

Ginger. The root, ginger candy, ginger tea.. anyway you can get it down try it out. It's a natural anti-nausea remedy. Try what does appeal to you and what you know will stay down try different ways of making it up to make it more interesting. Then at night when you know you're stomach will be more tolerant of food.. eat something that you never had during the nausea/vomiting part of the day. Worry not it passes. Usually around 12 weeks if not prior. The doctor can give you a list of things OTC you can take to help ease it or prescribe you something mild.

Did you guys eat the same thing a few days ago? It sounds like food poisoning of some sort. If you guys don't feel much better in a 48 hour period, I would definitely see a doctor. In the mean time, make sure to stay hydrated with water or Pedialyte. Dehydration is the worst side effect of food poisoning. Most bacteria will work themselves through your system in 48 to 72 hours. Certain ones like E-coli, Salmonella and Shigella need some medication to help. Take care of yourself and make sure your grandma has fluids too. She is older and her body will need a little extra recovery time.

You might have food poisoning. Go to the doctor...or if you prefer to stay home, eat only crackers and drink chicken soup (slowly, very slowly). Give it a day or two, and you will be better.
