Christian is love?

You always say about Islam being ruthless. Then please explain this:

If a woman tries to save her husband from a beating by grabbing the other man's private parts to lift him off her husband, then both her hands must get cut off: Deuteronomy 25:11-12

Christians would argue that this is in the Old Testament and Jesus' message of love and forgiveness superseded that.

Jews would argue that the above isn't actually practiced.
