anyone know what sort of hairsyles will suit a larger lady with a very round face, none of the ones i have used in the past seem to "suit" even although they say that they are for "round" faces...

I have a roundish face and am.."a larger lady"... in the past I've had short shot hair...it was very "choppy" in the back...that was cute and very low maintenance...

For longer hair I usually get layers to frame my face. I think also your hair color and thickness have a lot to do with what looks good on you.

there you can upload a pic of your face and it'll match celeb look alikes to it. I used it to get my latest cut idea. You have to be willing to experiment and be a little adventurous.

Good luck!

p.s. My short cut looked almost exactly like the Melissa lady someone else posted about.

My first thought was of Melissa Miner, a host on Shop NBC. She's not a large lady, but her haircut is very lovely; the wispy, razored ends would seem to detract from the roundness of one's face.

In my opinion larger ladys look their best with big glamorous hairdos (as they have in movies), but you can't wear them everyday.

A larger lady needs a certain amount of volume in her hair, to balance out the body mass. I think shoulder-length wavy hair would look nice.
If her hair isn't too thin and limp, she could also get a bob, to create a jawline and accentuate the neck.

A bad decsion would be very short hair (whether straight or permed) or hair much longer than shoulderlength (it then sort of "merges" the head and the body creating a stumpy neckless figure).

Best wishes!

Perhaps try one that has layers by d side of ure face so it gives a more "soft" look, plus it gives u a sharper lookin face shape,Short bob hair sometimes can backfire n makes ur head looks even more "rounded", try perhaps havin ur hair longer,it elongates d shape of ur face.Besides guys prefer long hair chicks *wink* Anyways hope it helps.Good Luck!

I have pretty long hair, I like them but I think I would have them reduce short in about some two many years

Usually, that is too long for me. I consider it depends on the guy as well as his face though. Certain guys may pull off long hair and other folks can't.
