Of course! For most people, one of the main needs in this life is to love and be loved. So many people want to take without giving in return. Some are not capable of loving. To find people who we can love and who love us in return (in healthy ways) is to win the lottery of life.
During times when we cannot find that, we get very lonely. It's not fun. Times like that are some of the hardest in life.
I believe that people are most vulnerable to religion when they are lonely... the false promise of a god's love...

Yes, of course, it is part of growing up. When I was young, I thought I wanted and needed love from a particular girl. When this girl could not provide what I wanted/needed and did not want nor need this from me, I came to the realization that my efforts would be better directed elsewhere, somewhere a return would be probable.

Yes, just last night. I gave her some love, but she did not return the favor. Trust me, I needed it. It has been awhile. Needless to say, I blew $20 at Burger King for nothing. Stupid blind dates!!!
And by god, when I practiced such nonsense.

It is in our natures to want and need love.
it is also in our natures to feel unsatisfied with what we have.
we always want and need more!
Only as we turn to God, the source of love, do we find an endless supply.
god bless

Oh yeah!

But that was only to bring me to my true and eternal love|
It was a good thing that I was thwarted in the past|
I avoided marrying my half-sister, my first cousin, and my sister|
I *really* would have had egg on my face if I suceeded when I wanted to|
God is good, if He denies you something, it is for a good reason|
