Not very. You got to be stupid, if you want that job(No Offense) You're one of the first one to die in a war. That little red t on your helmet is basically a target. Enemy snipers love to shoot medic, because it demoralize the troops. Sargent radioman and officers are other prime targets. Also another disadvantage is that you carry a Tiny little pistol for self defense. Joining the army is also a bad choice. All you do is march and your living condition is not the best. The advantage is , you get easy access to drugs.

OK, Evidently Medics mean different things in different countries. I am from the U.S. If you want to compare intelligents of a Medic to something else. Medics are enlisted. If the Army needs highly intelligent people for the job, they would require medics to be officers. The medics I know are now currently working regular jobs. They may be smarter than a grunt, but never found them exceptional

i'm sitting right here at 5:20 AM and to be truthful I typed in "im going nowhere" for my own reasons on google and observed this question. you have what i'm working for - young ones, marriage, the entire element. Being crushed is a classic area of existence, or no person would ever be up this late. attractiveness, even with regard to how "alluring" existence is, is purely interior the attention of the beholder. particularly situations human beings bypass via greater trials than they deserve, yet while that's all mentioned and performed each bump interior the line in basic terms lasts a 2d. do no longer obsess over the final. perchance telling you this would help me do the comparable. forget approximately approximately even though it relatively is you have been, and concentration on what you at the instant are - a spouse and mom of two young ones seeking to develop. concentration on reaching those targets, through fact no longer something you have performed interior the previous will provide up you from getting there. it's going to get greater powerful once you have complete the targets you're engaged on now. Pat your self on the lower back for the little achievements alongside the way, too.

Best thing to do is to study to be a Registered General Nurse. The army will then take you in as an officer and not only is the pay good, you will be saluted and called sir.

We need to be clear as to whether you mean medic as in Medical Assistant or Medic as in Doctor. I assume that you mean Medical Assistant, in which case a good general education is sufficient to apply. If there is any doubt as to your educational attainment the military will ask you to sit an entrance exam.

Best wishes, J

Medics get shot at the rate of 7 to 1 over regular soldiers...so to be one means you aint real "clever"..if you mean intelligent...they have a very intensive combat medical course that is very demanding..you gotta be smart to pass it.....from your question Id say Dont Bother

Military medics are trained to the same standards as 'normal' doctors etc, so I'd say, very clever (7 years at medical school plus constant exams). My sister in law and brother in law are both doctors in the NHS, and they are constantly studying for exams, as well as doing shifts and looking after their kids. Brilliant people!

You essentially have to take first aid and such and also do a few pre med courses.. in NO way do you need a full med degree.. just a general knowledge should do..

You don't have to be clever to do anything in the Military, but you'd better pay attention or they'll put a garnishment on your @$$! As they should, because your buddy just may need you to help him. You thinking of being a 91A eh? Good luck and OORAH!
