I believe. There is without a doubt a higher personage who is running this show. I believe that hell is on earth also and in regards to the kingdom of heaven, once you die your suffering on this earth is done. There is your peace. I believe loving, kind, giving, selfless people become spirits on a higher level and that they come for their loved ones to show them the way to the spritual land and I believe in Angels and that they do come to peoples aide and is sent by He who is. I believe that everything happens for a reason whether good or bad. If a child dies young it may be to avoid their suffering later in life. If a child suffers rape and death it is the act of man not He who is that brought this about and that child will have peace and suffer no more on this earth. My faith is limitless and unhindered and I've been beaten down by mankind and raised up by my Lords hand and I will always remain a faithful follower to Him no matter what happens here.

Sure. I also believe that there are little elves who steal my socks out of the laundry and that if I don't bite my fingernails they will come to miss my teeth.

Honestly, I believe in a healing energy within all of us; that the stars are a part of something much greater than any of us realize. No Him, no Her, no It - just a peace and a grace throughout the universe. One thing I do know is that I can't prove any of this, not even to myself, and I am content with that.

Also, I quit biting my fingernails two months ago after nearly 30 years and I'm so dang proud of myself I bring it up unwarranted whenever possible. Last year I quit smoking. I'm on a streak here. Next year maybe I'll quit chewing off the nail polish. Who knows?

Yes.

I was raised in a Christian faith and doubted when I was about college age. After 15 years and a divorce I began to see things through different eyes and I began to sense the presence of a higher power.

I'm not entirely certain what form God takes, but I believe he has the power to take many forms and I definitely believe in God and am now a practicing and faithful Christian.

How can you not believe in God? Creation is common sense. Wherever you see design there's got to be a designer. That's just common sense. It's like Paly once said. He said that if you're walking along in a forest and you find a wrist watch that keeps perfect time, the only logical conclusion is that it was designed. Everywhere in the universe there is design. Just look around you. Anything that is living is infinitely complex. An atheist has to say what Richard Dawkins says, namely, that there is no real design in the universe.....just the appearance of design.
You just can't logically and realistically deny that there's design all through the universe. It's all around you. You have to be blind not to see it. There are branches of science that basically just study the design in nature.........scientific disciplines such as nano-technology and bio-mimetrics. These disciplines study the design in nature.......whales,bats,dolphins have sonar.......and try to create machines that mimic that design. Everywhere you look there's design. Where there's design there's got to be a designer. That's just common sense. Creation is not an unproven theory. It's a common sense fact that we come to by just using a little
logic and reason.

I definitely am, not because I am a Catholic or I was baptized and raised as Catholic. It's because every time I rationalize things out, like where everything originated, I always ending up that there must be Somebody who made everything possible. We are not all here because of coincidence or by mere incident. Would you consider yourself a fruit of incidence? Hmm. If that's the case you are created out of love. Science? Who gave man that intelligence? Was it born out of incidence, a mere fusion of energies from somewhere? I don't think so. Our comprehension has its limit; and so we couldn't understand everything to the fullest, because if we do, we are God, not human.

I don't believe in any gods. Why? Because I can think for myself .

As for finding a wrist-watch in the forest, of course it had a designer - the watchmaker who made it ! Simple really.
