You are then given a certain amount of time to produce the documents. During the course of the year, boss are also supposed to keep their records updated and have fresh declarations on file. A persons right to work can change thru a year eg Work permit dated from January, employed in August, the following year the card could be expired in January but the person is still working on the job. The employer would probably have forgotten the card will expire in January, therefore making him guilty of employing someone illegally.
