Wouldn't that made him an arab with a big white fluffy afro? I would think he would look totally different from the hippy looking picture that I sees in my church.

White christians seem to have a problem with the concept that their christ wasn't a typical white man. The fact that judea was populated by aramaic jews at the time seems to have passed them by completely.

Atheism. You know it makes sense.

He was an Israeli and was Jewish. The bronze skin and white hair are his glorified condition, after He has risen from the dead.

Isaiah describes him as being not especially attractive:
"... he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. "

Basically, while on earth, he looked like all the other Jewish Israeli men.

As far as church pics go, I don't think Jesus ever posed for any painters or photographers, so those pics are just artist guesses.

He was as described in the Bible. His race / appearance really doesn't matter, but I'll say that the image in most churches is based on Leonardo Di Vinci's paintings. And Leonard lived 1000 years after Jesus so he did not know him at all.

Jesus WASN'T described in the Bible.

I see Him as having bronze skin, dark hair, and dark eyes. He might have had long hair, but it may have been short. There's no way to know. He may have had a beard, or maybe He didn't.
I don't think His appearance really matters though.

Jesus was Jewish. He had dark skin and dark hair and eyes just like the real Jewish people. He was from the lineage of David.
Ishmael, Abraham's illegitimate son was the father of the Arabs. Issac, God's choice, was the father of the Jews.

It is unlikely that he would have had any distinguishing Semitic features at all.
But it is probable that his hair was black or very dark brown. With
a slight build and rather short by our standards to day.
This is typical of the people of that area, at that time in history.

Jesus looked as the Bible describes him. Dark skin and probably thick black hair, just like evry other person born in the region. Think about it, he was born in Bethlehem....Israel....Middle East. Your church depicts an anglo version of Jesus so he is easier for you to worship....but if you truly believe, why do you care what he looks like?

And that is a big if. you should have quoted the Bible chapter and all. Then those that are interested could have and would have checked you're very doubtful statement.

i am sure he was of Arab blood....it happened in the middle east...not to many white people were there. Plus if you look at all the Egypt cultures...most of the paintings and drawings....were with very dark people mixed in...he could have been from Africa.....

Actually that would make him a middle eastern jew. Most jewish ppl from that area have wavy hair and darker-than-Anglo skin. He would have looked more like Osama Bin Laden than the he would the pictures we have seen.
