I'd say that this fight is pretty interesting. Hopkins would have the edge, though, if this fight takes place at 160. Hopkins has fought virtually all his life at 160! McCallum's best came at 168. This would end in a decision. Hopkins would be too smart to trade with Mike.
It isn't easy to pick against Mike, though. I've seen fights he won handily by destroying his opponents ribs. Hopkins would be too smart for that. Plus, Hopkins has one of the best defense in boxing. Hopkins would counter McCallum all night. Hopkins has the edge in chin, defense, speed, and stamina. Mike has his sole edge in power. I see the scorecard looking like this: 117-111, Hopkins; 118-109,Hopkins; and, 116-112, Hopkins via unanimous decision.

Lady Vette ~
In their respective primes, McCallum stops Hopkins in less than six rounds. Styles make fights and with Mikes overall work rate he would be just a little too much for Hopkins.
I've never been a Hopkins fan, he's just a boring, dirty fighter. He's tried solidifying his career by calling out blown up welterweights Hopkins and Trinidad, and the only time he has fought a middleweight that was anywhere near his prime he lost, Jones and twice to Taylor.
McCallum' overall pressure and much heavier blows would be the biggest difference in this fight. Mike wouldn't allow Hopkins not to fight the first half of the fight which Hopkins in notorious for. A fighter doesn't get a name like "Body Snatcher" for no reason at all. Mike would slow Bernard down with a mean body attack then switch to the upstairs.
Mike stops Bernard late in the 5th. Thanks for the question Lovely Lady Vette.

Lovely Lady Vette this would have been a good fight. I think that B Hop will go down as one of the greatest of all time at middleweight. He can do it all, is a good boxer, has a good punch, is hard to hit with clean shots, and can take a good punch too. McCallum of course is known for his great body punching. I believe that Hopkins controls this fight with his better overall boxing ability and takes everything that McCallum can dish out winning by decision in this fight. Great question!

you have 2 warring parties of comparable, clever varieties. the version is that Hopkins is greater valuable at getting rid of an opponent's weapons. He would be the shielding fighter in this tournament. the different distinction is that, jointly as the two are incredibly confusing to harm, Hopkins would take much less punishment. that is no longer a desirable combat yet Hopkins wins a cushty determination.
