I know I through bleach into the laundry to make my whites white.
But as far as skin goes I don't think there is any kind of soap to do that.

This question reminds me of the original Dr. Dolittle story where he makes a black prince happy by painting his skin with a mixture of lye and whitewash paint.
What would possess a person to try lightening their skin in this day and age? I personally am only attracted to women with skin darker than my own by at least a couple shades.

try to find a type of soap that has "white carrots" in them. These are natural lightening /whitening agents.

why do you want to 'whiten' your skin,watever colour your skin is its fine the way it is.there is no really good whitening soap because whitening products always contains harsh chemicals that are bad for your skin anyway.

sure. find anything with acid in it, but you'll probably turn pink.
why would you like to whiten you skin??? You will end up damaging your skin !!! Need for a change ? Try bleaching your hair instead..

not sure about soap but lemon juice in your usual moisturiser is good for lightening darker imperfections on your skin.
