you should deff give your kids allowance. It is a good way for them to learn about how to save or spend their money. This way you can give them an allowance and the next time you go to the store they won't be begging for you to get something for them b/c you can tell them that they can use their allowance money and if they already spent it you can tell them that they should have saved it and they will learn from that.

Its good to give children their allowance but before giving them allowance it is the duty of the parents to tell their children about the financial position in the house so that children may think that in which way he spend the money which his/her parents give him to spend. And from teenager the parents give them allowance because sometimes people give them allowance in order to make reputation in the society and it spoil their children they spend money unnecessary so according to my point of view a child must knwo about the economical and financial position of his family and it is also the duty of the parent to tell him clearly rather than to keep her prestige in the society.

We should give children allowance so that they learn to handle money and spend it wisely. But it may be necessary to keep a check that they don't buy trouble or misuse it.

I am afraid you cannot ask this as a generalized question. The age of the children, the habits of the children, the background of the family, etc., etc. will have to be taken into consideration. There is no yes or no type answer here.

give them allowance, keep an eye on how they spend it,and award them according to how they spend it,or punish. that way they will learn how to spend their money the way "you" want.

Children's allowance to be judged carefully considering the age and caliber and to forget the rest, should have to be pre-guided about to be done and not to be done things,
Quantum should be just sufficient and let them take their decisions to budgeting the expenses, of course for initial phases if should be under proper guidance.
