if you write to me it says that on bible that's really not gonna make me understand why you would believe it's wrong. there's a lot of stuff in the bible that has been proven to be false and really would you rather live by some book that was written ages ago than your own brain???

you will get people that say "because it is against the bible"
but really, can those who say that honestly say they have done all the bible teaches? who has not broken one of the 10 commandments? all man have sinned. and to be homosexual is no more of a sin than to be a liar. we have all told a lie have we not? for one not to accept gays would not be a Christian thing to do. i am a Christian and i except everyone and show love and kindness to all because that is what my Lord Jesus would do. anyone who does not accept gays would be a hypocrite because they, themself are also sinners.

God bless you my friend

The main problem with homosexuals is that the Bible says that it is a sin. Once we become a Christian we are supposed to repent of our sin. Meaning that we are going to make a concious effort not to commit sins. If you are a homosexual, you have to stop being a homosexual to be a Christian. So we don't hate homosexuals, we just want them to be right with God and stop sinning.

Let's set aside that God calls homosexuality an abomination in the Bible for a moment and look at this from a scientists point of view. Trees are smart. Trees make seeds inside of fruit so that animals will eat them and poop the seeds out later in other places so that the trees can grow in other places. All of nature is smart. Everything in nature is so intelligent that they do things for a reason, and this reason is to make more smart things. Homosexuals reproduce by.......hmm.....you know, perhaps homosexuality is just like greed, a weakness that is suppose to be resisted. But wait, that doesn't make the homosexuals happy, then that can't be the truth.

I don't hate "gays" - I do hate the lifestyle they have chosen. When God clearly states in His Word that it is sin, shall we be silent and not say what God has said? There is no greater love than the expression of it on the Cross of Calvary. We ask all to come to Christ, receive forgiveness and live in right relationship with God. How is that being judgmental? or how is that hate? God is the judge not Christians - we simply want to see them free from sin so that there will be no judgment against them. Sexual sins are not the only sins - that is why I said we ask ALL to come to Christ.

define accept. God loves all of us, but not all of us will accept His SOn as our sacrifice. God loves us all and He is the God of Love, but He is also just. He hates sin and all sin is disobedience against Him. i can be a friend with a sodomite, but i will not support their sin. Jesus did dine with sinners and publicans, but nowhere does the bible condone their sin. often He even told them to go and in no more. the only answer for the sin of homosexuality or sodomy is Jesus, but they must ackowledge their sin first. always have an open heart to accept those who truly want GOd and wish to turn from their sins.

Love every man but abhor that which is evil, A true religious person would show love to anybody however they shouldn't go alone with what is clearly against the word of God. Read Leviticu ch 18 and Romans ch1:24-32

van: As a Christian, I can say, you are bang-on in your query !!!
Some Christians tend to make sins involving "sex" more "evil" than those of lieing, stealing, coveting etc., Therefore, the self-righteous ... holier-than-thou attitude comes into play. Of course this is not acceptable to God for Christians to act in this manner!. A Christian is to be involved in practicing works of love to both, God and His neighbour, making this world a better place to be in - not throwing out cursing of hate towards others. Remember; it is not what others are not BUT what YOU are , as a Christian !

We do. We just don't like the outwardly homosexual and unrepentant ones who are mockers. People can be as gay as they want. As soon as they are so proud to put it in my face and say you can't judge, I will. Any one who is gay and not flagrant about it, I don't really care. It is the flagrant ones who are annoying and disgusting. I don't care about people's sex habits, anymore than their toilet habits. It is the ones that would disgust you by flaunting theirs, I will denounce for what they are.
If a unrepentant thief, addict, adulterer, or other sinner started bragging about their sins, it would be the same.

Some religions do. My Episcopalian priest is openly gay with a partner. Much of the congregation at my church is gay.
Jesus did tell us to love one another. He didn't say love those who are straight and spit on everyone else.

God hates the sin, but loves the sinner. I don't judge gay people, but I don't accept the lifesytle, if I did I would be going against God and God is very clear about homosexuality.
