I am not entirely convinced that it kills the goodness in the juice. If I drink vodka straight I can take more than with fruit juices that contain lots of vitamin, it seems to enter the blood stream faster. Lots of my friends have the same experience here... but overall I'd say it is NOT healthy (ulcers, as mentioned!). Vodka straight, in small quantities, helps digestion though and has certainly other benefits - or so I and my 83 year old grandmother like to believe (every day after dinner two shots only). But what the heck, if you don't overdo it, vodka drinks are simply too good to forego just because they are supposed to be unhealthy. Our air is polluted and our vegetables full of fertilizers and other stuff, it does not stop me from breathing or eating either...

from a recovering alcoholic - no vodka is healthy, but if ya must drink vodka,do not use fruit juice. it is acidic and will further the cause of ulsers. my LATE husband used grapefruit juice. of course it didnt stop him from killing himself(literaly). colas contain carbonated acid . drink it with water to be safe or straight coconut juice?
