Look at it as a bit of life experience - you gave your heart to this man and he did not appreciate what you have given. He is obviously very immature or a total commitment phobe or both. Women mature much more quickly and for us to give ourselves to a man is both a physical and and emotional journey - for a young buck (he obviously is) you were just another conquest on his quest to be Top Dog. Men do that but... at the same time there is someone out there that will appreciate you for what you are not for what you can give i.e Sex.

whether we like it or not people say things they dont mean all the time...its a rarity to meet someone so comfortable with themselves that they can really be themselves warts and all so most people tell people what they want to hear to some extent...i am sorry you feel so let down, but the fact is if he had told you what he was really like, would you have accepted his love then?...probably not...the best kind of connection is one that requires no words, no deeds, just is...where there are no questions, nothing hidden, just an ability to accept what you feel...i hope you feel better soon...chin up...;0)

I'm sorry. I think everyone comes across someone like that in life. He just wanted to get what he wanted. It doesn't make you a fool, although you may feel foolish and heartbroken. Love has risks, and your feelings are yours....you didn't lie. Don't feel too badly about trusting him, it happens, and you will get over it in time. It's awful to love someone who doesn't care as much as you do.

I've had my heart broken too, most people have at some point. You will heal and find someone who is worth it.

People will say lots of things they don't mean in order to get what they want. It will happen throughout your entire life and it happens to everyone.
The important thing is that you weren't lying when you said it. What you felt for him was real and you should try to think about that rather than thinking about how he hurt you. Try to keep some of your heart intact, the guy of your dreams is going to need it when he shows up.

Good luck.

Some guys say 'I Love You' just to lead you on and have their way with you, they don't really mean it. Not all guys are like this, but you have to be careful because there are alot of cheaters out there!! I hope you find yourself a nice honest guy. Good Luck!!

People will say anything to get what they want. Don't take it personally, and don't judge people in the future by what some loser did to you. Just remember the mistake and be more careful next time. I am sorry, people can be really lame sometimes.

Its very clear that you are really hurting and i can tell that u really love this man. I can relate to this, it also happened to me. It's his loss if he cant see that you are caring and a lovable person. Some men cant seem to realise how powerful those three words are. Its very sad.

First of all, I think we're all guilty of saying "I love you" to someone when we didn't really mean it, whether it was to be nice or because we were unsure. Besides, they say only the 3rd true love lasts forever. When it's a "forever kind of love", you'll know it. :) I promise dear
