It was after the first Gulf War that Cheney was asked why US forces had not gone all the way to Baghdad and removed Saddam Hussein. "For us to get American military personnel involved in a civil war inside Iraq would literally be a quagmire," he said. We could not and would not win it was reported Cheney said.

This response has haunted him ever since but the war supportes and Bush supporters refuse to acknowledge that Cheney said that statement.

When has the Bush administration ever lived up to expectations. They have been failures from the begining with the stealing of the first election, thank god less then two years left, I hope that the democratic majority in congress can keep them from doing any more damage to America.

Every public speaker in the world has some type of ´bones in the closet´. In Cheney´s case, he said something (in my opinion) smart, but had to change his thinking for a new president, and a new war. He is probably very angry that he switched from sr. to that snotty war-dodging jr. But he had to change his thinking to suit the latter for purposes of ´staying in the employ´. Bush Jr. doesn´t like the comment he made, then he has to change to suit the new ideals, or send his resumé to monster.com. Just like the way, that Bush fires and hires new people, because he blamed Iraq not going his way (which he admits openly) on the previous people in his employ. So I would say it´s quite a bit of a quagmire and a pickle now. Well break out the peanut butter, cuz we´re in a jam. Love and Respect

Hmm...solid question the following. i wager that is the blind believe he had to enter into with the intention to be vice chairman. shall we see..the position did he paintings in the previous??? Haliburton wasn't it? do not they carry an unique settlement with the united statesauthorities for logistical help in Iraq? Wasn't it appointed to them and not in any respect enable out for bid? Is it basically the solid ol boy equipment or is he gaining factors from his former corporation for interest in this very very worthwhile settlement after he leaves workplace? you spot what I advise? that is basically to coincidental for persons to be smooth with. perhaps they were the most ideal for the interest..we do not understand that and also you'll't educate it. the topic matters and overcharges that were in the documents did not help your case in any respect. some people don't like the former V.P. and could make political hay out of a few thing they could to demonize him. The republicans do an similar aspect so i wager turn about is honest play. As for me i don't understand sufficient to assert one way or yet another. To me it basically looks undesirable. My desire is that is fake and he did not...yet that is all it is..desire.
