The maid/matron of honor if he's a guy?

My bride-to-be and I are going to have our brothers (one each) stand up with us. My brother's position is called Best Man, by tradition and all that. But we're a little fuzzy on what to call the job on the other side - for the wedding program and newspaper announcement.

I already have a standing commitment to refer to my attendants as 'groomsmaids'. I was a 'bridesman' in one of their weddings, so that matter's settled.

Technically, I think the term is "honor attendant." But if you're already going with bridesmen and groomsmaids, have fun with it. Man of honor would work with the terminology you've already established.

And, if it fits with your personalities and the majority of your guests will think it's cute and funny, go with dude of honor.
