My grandma went thru that when she sponsored some of her cousins after WWII. They were nice until they got their green card and then wouldn't even say hello at the grocery store. In her situation, I think it was because they were embarrassed. They were rich before the war, wound up in Auschwitz and came to the US flat broke. I think my grandma reminded them of the past and they just couldn't cope.

Because people who beg you for help with a green card typically are only interesting in getting into the US and nothing else. You are inconsequential in the long run.

P.S. Stop inviting people to the US. It's overrun as it is. >:(

I would say you were used after the green card there is no incite to remain nice
