marsala is a red cooking wine, and you could probably get it for as cheap as $10. it's used in a lot of recipes, not just chicken.

Marsala is a sweet Italian wine. It is served as a dessert wine or incorporated into dishes such as Chicken Marsala or Tiramisu. If I remember correctly, I spent around 15 to 20 dollars for a good bottle. Check to see if you have any Italian markets in your area where you can purchase it.

Marsala is wine. Of course you can buy cheap or expensive, but when you cook with wine you should use a quality that you would drink.
