This is what I just went through because I got strep throat and couldn't swallow the medication. I was taking Synthroid 112 mg., Wellbutrin 150 mg, Lithium, Estrogen and Progesterone. I feel like crap...just like when I was first diagnosed. My major symptoms are very sore feet, my back aches, I am depressed, I have been raging and screaming and I hate myself and this stupid disease. My skin is a mess with these weird rashes on my temples, a cyst along my chin line. I am so desperate for support and to connect with others who feel like me. I look beaten and feel it too. My life really sucks. I have no spark for sex or to have a relationship. Please if there is anyone going through this let me know. Also, I have a weight problem too in my gut esp. and my hair continues to fall out. I am not well and cannot seem to get through to my doctor. Anyhow, I have just started taking all the meds again and hope they hurry up and work before I go beserk!

Ummm...why all the repro hormones? Are you menopausal? You actually have many symptoms of hypopituitary. Low sex drive=low testosterone. Big belly=low cortisol. Depression=low growth hormone, and so on. Take a look at your symptoms in this table: http://www.goodhormonehealth.com/symptoms/gland_hormone_symptom_table.html You really need to find a good endo to investigate possible pituitary issues.

i'm sorry to hear that you're going through some rough times. i hope you pull through tho! there are lots of people out there with hashimoto's disease and with all very similar conditions and drugs to treat them.
it depends how long you have been off of your medications. one's like wellbutrin and lithium take a while to get up to the desired blood concentrations and will require up to 2 weeks of continued use to be up to its maximum effectivness. estrogen, progesterone and synthroid are all naturally occuring chemicals in our body and can be used right away to help out. thus, you will probably start feeling better after only a few doses...although the skin rash will need some time for your body to naturally heal itself, you just wont get anymore most likely.

I'm sorry to hear about your disease and I wish you healing.

Meds: crush them in a grinder or mortar and pestle and stir them in warm water and drink, or in a spoonful of honey if that's easier.

Hashimotos: Difficult disease to cure, but try two teaspoonfuls of "black cumin seed" boiled in 2 cups of water for 20 minutes three times a day (make a big batch then put it in the fridge) for at least a month. See if it becomes more manageable and resume treatment after a break. This has been used to treat immune diseases since biblical times. Also refered to as "black seed", but this can be misleading. Also, don't confuse it with "cumin" because that won't do anything except sooth a stomach ache. If you don't "believe" in herbal treatments, I can't help you, but if a patient of my father's reduced his viral count for HIV to minimal, then I'd give it a shot. Again, it's used for all immune system disorders, so Hashimoto's will be helped if not cured.

Its hard to find a Doctor or Endocronologist that actually seem to give a damn. They don't seem to want to listen or have tje time to listen. We are like cattle to them. They just want to hurry up and be through with you out so they can get on and do the same thing with the next patient. It happens to me all the time! They don't like it when you know what you are talking about. You have to do your own research on your condition. That is what I have learned. Nobody cares about your health and well being as much as you do! Hang in there and good luck.

Talk to your doctor and get some new blood work done. The meds may need to be changed somewhat but I wouldn't just stop them.
