It takes about a year for the new adult tooth to fully grow in. Funny how big the new teeth are, since the new tooth will be with him the rest of his life.

Do you know what part of the head starts out full size and never grows larger during your entire life time? It's the eyeball!

Hi, my 6yo son weighs 3st 6lb and is 105 cm tall. He has no excess fat on him. He quite often has the trots as he is a little grot bag who plays in the dirt and then doesn't wash his hands properly! Does your little boy eat well? My experience of boys is that they will constanstly stuff if at all possible. If not do you give him a daily vitamin? How does he compare to the other boys at school? I'm sure he'll be OK but best to be getting some bloods done just incase.

Don't worry. I bet he looks cuter now if it is his front tooth.
I think in about 6 months to a year. And remind him not to play with the new growing tooth with his tongue because then it will grow out in the wrong direction.

While lower permanent teeth usually follow the baby teeth pretty closely, it is not uncommon at all for upper permanent teeth to take several months before they come in. I've seen them take over a year several times.
