The military has extended the enlistment ages because of shortfalls in recruiting goals. They also have relaxed restrictions on those with previous health issues that prevented them from being accepted, records regarding convictions, & even some with psychological disorders. Five years ago, any veteran who had previous service time could add that time to 27. If, for instance, your friend had 6 years' prior active service time, and if he was at least 33, he could reenlist. Your friend probably had 4 yrs active duty+27=31 yrs old+5 yrs current service, would equal his age of 36.

It relies upon on what the fee replaced into. The Air tension breaks down crimes into 5 diverse catergories. If his is catergory a million thorugh 3 he will require a Morals Elegibility Deterrmination(it potential a waiver). He could additionally could supply all documentation linked with the case. If ultimately falls upon the recruiting squadron commander to approve him. If it is his purely fee and he hasn't had a background he could be nice as long as he meets something of the Air tension's standards.

I have heard they raised the age to 42 for enlisting.

I found a link to a story about it: http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2006-08-01-army-age_x.htm
