The Storage Tank has water. The Thermostat and the heating element work properly. But before being cut off from the supply, it gives a pop or a sound like thatwhen we open the soda or any aerated bottle. I undersatnd the sound is that of the Air.
Why such sound? Is it harmful? What is the remedy

1. In a tankless water heater you get instant hot water but to operate the same you need a constant flow of water. If the heater is kept ON and there is no water the heater coil will burnt out. This may sometime lead to fire if proper protection of the electrical installation is not taken care of.
2. As soon as you switch off the power supply the supply of hot water will stop. But in case of a storage tank water heater once the water is heated up you can get hot water supply even when the power supply is off.
3. In my personal opinion storage tank water heater is more safe to operate and handle if you have children or elderly people at your home.

The tankless heater gives you a constant supply of hot water, it will never run out. The water is heated as it passes through the system, there's no tank to empty and refill.

The cost is greater, the installation must be done by a licensed company and if I remember correctly, there is a limit to how much water can pass through the system, limiting your water pressure.

wow! we got 1 and i love it!!!it takes a while to get use to though , its really different. the pros u always have hot water, ya dont have to worry about rushing in the shower cause the hot dont go, and u can set the temp u want ur water at. how hot . the bad thing is the shower pressure isnt the greatest , u have to let the water run for a good min or so for it to get hot, and i have gotten scalded a couple of times. hey and my dogs love it to !!! but the good over comes the bad cuase u get spoiled at bath time. not having to rush.
