Wait till you metabolize the adderall away. Throwing a depressant into the mix with a stimulant in your system is a bad idea (particularly if the stimulant is going to run out before the depressant - then you've got an unopposed depressant action going on, and that can be bad news).

I have never regretted being there to the end with a beloved pet. But I think I would regret it if I had decided NOT to be there. You should be there with her. I'm so sorry you are going through this. it is never easy. So re your additional details, I think you're doing the right thing by going, but also by having your mom and friend. Just tell your mother and friend what you said here. Tell them (before you even leave for the vet) that you appreciate so much them coming with you, and you want the comfort of their presence, and. you know that out of their kindness they may want to give you a hug, but you're afraid that will just send you over the edge and you'll really lose it. Don't totally hold in your grief though -- at least when you get back home let yourself feel it. But if you are on medicine for your heart make sure you take it !

If you're prescribed Adderall (and I hope you are, otherwise, please stop reading) you're also normally prescribed a night-time dose of something else to help you sleep.
It's risky to recommend anything to help you sleep. You may want to page your doctor, there's usually a moderate fee ($20 or so, ask h/er) and s/he may be able to call something in, so you can at least get SOME sleep tonight. As well as the next few nights until your body gets used to it.
I don't think warm milk helps much, maybe a turkey sandwich? Maybe walk as slow as you can for 15 minutes and try to sleep again? We're not trying to get your heart rate up here, obviously.
Don't take Benadryl or any over the counter sleep aids without consulting your doctor.

Whenever I need some sleep, but can't because of caffine or whatever I take benedryl. You can take the generic brands that are a whole lot cheaper they have the same stuff at the same milligrams ( same stuff as those sleeping pills) Dyphenhydramin. Stuff always knocks me out, but you have to be careful cuz if you take to much you can go on a pychadelic trip ( you take way to much and you will really regret it with constant twitching and constant dry mouth with being waken up to pee alot) I think it dehydrates your body.

I would give the medicine time to wear out. Don't take anything like sleeping pills. You could overmedicate yourself and the medications give you a reverse reaction, including death.
Call in sick tomorrow if you have to, but don't take anything else and see you doctor to get on the right medicine.
