I have lived my life without religion and my life is fantastic. I make my own decisions and realize my mistakes are my own to learn from.

On the other hand I see certain people governed completely by their religion. They show "goodwill" to strangers only because they feel this will give them good standings with their God and grant them passage to Heaven, if they have one. This is completely selfish.

If you're going to show selflessness, I'd rather it be genuine and not because a book told you to.

Man is an animal, and if they had no religion to guide them, we would not be here, where we are today. Look back in time and see how people would just invade a city or country, and kill everyone in it, Mothers, Children, and everything they couldn't take with them. Man is weak and needs something to guide them, something to believe in.

People don't plan to have religion in society, they plan to have it in their lives.

The benefits of religion in the world far outweigh the harm done, most of which is fiction anyway.
