I've got plenty of svchost.exe, at about 5 or 6 of these whenever i look at the processes tab in the task manager of my pc. And as I have observed, these executables has slowed the speed of my computer! i don't know what to do about this. i don't even know if it's a virus or not! Please help me people.. i look forward to your kindness. Thanks!=)

To have more than one svchost.exe running is perfectly normal. If your computer is running slow, more than likely there is something running that you can not easily detect. I would try going to Control Panel/Administrative tools/Services to see if anything out of the ordinary is running as a service. Maybe try running "Hijack This" as well to see if it detects a possible hijack.

Plain malfunction, this is a program internal to the working of Windows.

Plain malfunction...heck not even, lol.It's just a simple process that overloads sometimes. Whatever you do...DON'T END THAT PROCESS by the system or your nothing will turn into something, lol.

Buy a new computer.

svchost.exe is a generic name for a service your running. Most of the time it's at 0%, maybe u have conflicting programs.

Try AVG free antivirus and also Trendmicro's Housecall. Housecall must be run in Internet Explorer though.
