There are too many shopping centers in Hong Kong to specify what the best hotel location is. The 3 really big and good ones are - Times Square in Causeway Bay, hotels to consider Excelsior; - Pacific Place in Admiralty, hotels are Metropark, Cosmopolitan, Hilton Conrad is an expensive hotel; - The Gateway & Ocean Terminal, hotels Kowloon Hotel, Holiday Inn Golden Mile. Since the underground train can get you anywhere easily, and all the hotels mentioned here are very close to train stations, it does not really matter which hotel. Taxis or cabs are very cheap comparatively and you can get one any time any where. If you have extra time, there is an outlet mall Citygate which is 5 minutes from the Hong Kong airport.
