Any relationship needs work. If you have an open mind and accept each other's differences, it will work. There are many interracial marriages in this country.
Good luck!

If both people are open and try to be understanding It can work. I know a couple that were married for 40+ years and she was a American Methodist and he an Asian Buddhist. The only reason I put this in the past tense is that he passed away a few years ago.

Angel,
Differences between culture, religion, traditions etc.. are not of that much important when the question comes about humanity, Is I accept my self and the other in question as human? rest comes next.
It all depends up to what extent both can let go each others... do you think anything like culture, religion etc. come in between if anyone wish to let go something for some-one he or she loves or believes.

Let me tell if you are worried about the issues then guess what they will be because you will make the differences an issue. Also why are you worried about that now do you even know how serious she wants to get or more importantly does she even like. Lets say the both of you love each other I mean LOVE they nothing will matter and it will last forever. SAD to say only 1% of people know what love is.

Hey! Well I am going through the same thing. I am a white girl and I have fallen for a Mexican guy. He and I have started a relationship and my family and friends don't agree. Yes, there are problems but what relationship doesn't have difficult issues?? True love knows no boundaries, including race/culture.
Good luck! :)

it is hard but speaking from experience i know it will work. Futher more it will really expand your horizons because you will be able to see life from another perspective. It is very rewarding but make no mistake to really make it work you have to keep an open mind and really work to make it work. I have been married for a few years to a woman from a different culture and I could not be more happy.

Ya it works only if you look past the people that don't want to let it work. you cant stop love if you cant look past the people that don't want you to make it then you should never get the chance to love anther person. You don't have to give up a thing even if you don't have the same back round make it work.Go for your girl. Good luck?

We always group together, them and us is born instinctive survival attitude. Human being also have another over riding attitude called inquisitiveness, to not only know but also to experience. This attitude has helped human being to experiment. basically all these cultural difference are due to value of particular society. these values basically do not have much difference. Only superficial difference exist at the basic level. If one is really in love and is ready to adjustment or assimilation becomes easy. it is not only possible but also necessary.
